Thanks to Apparat for breathing new life into the tired template of
IDM-oriented electronica and giving us a new album (_Duplex_)
of artful sound design, intricate beats, atmospheric synth patches,
restrained targeted glitchery, and resonant non-obvious melody.
This album puts him up there with the likes of Arovane, Monolake, and
Funckarma/Quench as an individual 'voice' within an increasingly anonymous
sub-genre.
Yep, it's da Katapult (shurely shome mishtake here...?)
